_We are looking to recruit an _**SIA security officer**_ _to work at our port in _**Purfleet **_to carry out an _**administration **_duty to _**control access and egress**_._

The shifts will be **night **and **day **shifts.

**Overtime is available** for any applicant wanting additional hours on the same site the rate of pay is **£12.17 per hour.**
- The role will involve the below._
- _Ensure the fast and professional processing of all visitors to the terminal in accordance with site procedures._
- _Provide effective entry and egress control through effective pass checking/issuing, including the searching of persons and vehicles & plant machinery._
- _Ensure effective checks on all personal and vehicle passes are carried out at all locations including the safe operating of gates and barriers._
- _Assist in the covering of gaps/holidays within the core teams and during increases in security levels._
- _It will be the responsibility of the Administrative Operative to ensure Photo’s of drivers are correctly taken for site compliance. _
- _Ensure that all reportable incidents are recorded, clearly and concisely in a timely manor, and establish and maintain regular communication with the site team in all associated task. _
- _The Administrative Operative will support the team to and throughout any incident or occurrence, advising and assisting where required._
- _The above list is not exhaustive and any other administrative duties relating to the role of The Administration Operative may be introduced at any relevant time._
- Qualifications_
- _SIA Security license, Front line Security Guarding, Door Supervision_
- _Proven work experience as a Security officer or equivalent position_
- _Experience of delivering excellent Customer Service_
- _Excellent communication skills both written and verbal_
- _Some computer experience, ability to write clear daily written reports_
- _Excellent knowledge of public safety and security procedures/protocols_
- _Experience of working as part of a team or independently_
- _Have an understanding of the Health and Safety at Work act_

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: £12.17 per hour

Expected hours: 40 - 60 per week
