Due to increased production levels, my client is recruiting for an additional **Operations Supervisor** to join their team.

**Key duties and responsibilities will include**:

- Ensure the safe use of equipment and enforce strict safety guidelines and company standards.
- Report appropriately any safety issue through required documentation, work with the Health & Safety co-ordinator to maintain and improve Health & Safety in the Production environment.
- Ensure that all staff in your team are trained in and adhere to relevant SOPs and EHS guidelines.
- Organise workflow by assigning responsibilities and preparing schedules in conjunction or independently of the Production Manager
- Once the weekly/ fortnightly schedule has been created by the production manager, it is the supervisor’s responsibility to ensure that the schedule is manage and achieved.
- Supervise the staff within your team to carryout required work, by allocating jobs, and ensuring that all documentation and associated materials are in place and ready.
- Responsible for ensuring that all materials, including consumables are in place ahead of manufacturing requirements,
- Set daily/weekly/monthly objectives and communicate them to employees
- Responsible for the quality of all production outputs ensuring appropriate quality standard are maintained and improved as appropriate.
- Work in conjunction with the quality department to highlight and determine root causes with corrective action to issues that arise.
- Responsible for Batch Record Reviews, thus ensuring Quality Right First Time.
- Responsible for the appropriate recording, reporting and communicating of daily, weekly, monthly metrics and key performance indicators, also communication of
- When required and working within the quality system amend appropriate production documentation.
- When required and within the quality system perform 'Investigations’ on quality issues,
- Responsible for the appropriate training of all production staff, thus maintaining required staffing to meet the production demand. Report deficiencies to the Production Manager
- Responsible for reporting yield deficiencies against the standard
- Highlight improvement ideas to improve processes and working conditions.
- Working in conjunction with the Production Manager establish improvement idea’s that can be both managed through production staff of with assistance from Technical Support.
- Use departmental metrics as a tool to manage, motivate and improve performance.
- When required, work as an operator to help achieve departmental schedules and goals.
- Perform any ad hoc requests from the production manager to help the production department achieve its goals,
- Create and complete appropriate annual Performance Reviews for all direct reports.
- Conduct return to work interviews and provide information to HR in a timely manner.
- Provide first Line Management for all direct reports, including, but not exhaustive 'back to work’ interviews, performance and attendance issues, and work related issues. As required work with the Production Manager and Human Resource in any disciplinaryissues.
- Ensure full compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Responsibility and ownership for production traceability records.
- Comply with all policies, guidelines and regulatory requirements.

**Key skills and experience required**:

- Previous supervisory experience within manufacturing is essential
- Working knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practice is essential
- Professional qualification in Leadership and Management (ideally Level 4 or 5) or equivalent

Hours of work: 37.5 hours/week, Monday - Friday between 7.45am - 5.15pm

Holidays: 25 days + bank holidays
