Senior Surveyor

You will be responsible for providing and maintaining the Council's building service across the housing stock, ensuring compliance across the board.

**Responsibilities include**:

- Specification, approval and delivery of major repairs and maintenance to the property portfolio
- Ensure that the council meets its statutory obligations
- Play an active role in the pursuit of Net Zero emissions across the portfolio
- Carry out and complete property surveys
- Complete planned and routine maintenance programmes and capital works contracts
- Undertake the monitoring of H&S systems and procedures including fire risk assessments, asbestos management, risk assessments and safety audits

**What we are looking for**:
We are looking for an experienced surveyor, who can use their initiative to manage a varied and broad workload. You will ideally have:

- Degree level in Building, electrical or mechanical engineering or equivalent experience
- Housing or contract management qualification or relevant experience
- Prior project management experience
- CDM training / knowledge
- FRA knowledge
- Ability to lead a project team
- Having access to your own vehicle is preferred
