An exciting opportunity has arisen for an individual to join the NHS Fife Research & Development (R&D) Team within the Research, Innovation and Knowledge Department (RIK). You will be a core member of the R&D Team and the Senior RIK Team, supporting research and innovation activity in NHS Fife.

You will provide an efficient and effective administrative and facilitative support service to the RIK Department. This will involve leading the NHS R&D Approvals procedures to ensure delivery of the processes are dealt with strictly within the required approved timelines in order to meet national priorities and targets. They will provide advice to research teams regarding all aspects of the approvals systems under supervision of the Assistant RIK Director.

The post would be ideally suited to someone with experience in a clinical research environment and/or experience of research governance. They should have excellent organisational and IT skills and the ability to manage a number of concurrent projects. Attention to detail and strong communication skills are key requirements, along with a proven ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

You will have knowledge and understanding of research within the context of the UK Policy Framework for Health and Social Care Research and Good Clinical Practice.

The R&D Research Coordinator will be based within the R&D Department, Queen Margaret Hospital, Dunfermline with travel to all NHS Fife sites and nationally as required.
