We are delighted to advertise this role at the Close Protection Unit (CPU)

The Close Protection Unit belongs to the Specialist Operations Regiment, Royal Military Police. We have been based at Longmoor Camp since 1976 and provide Close Protection to senior military officers and high-ranking members of the Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office overseas.

We need an individual who is skilled in performing a broad range of administrative services to support the continuous deployment and recovery of Service Personnel.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone to work in a highly motivated team delivering support to both training and global operations

This position is advertised at 37 hours per week

**Job description**:
Working in the Operations Room within the Headquarters at the Close Protection Unit, you will work both individually and as part of a knowledgeable and dedicated team. This is a small 4-person team who work closely with the remaining Headquarters staff.

You will be the Single Point of Contact for Service Personnel who require hotel and flight booking for their deployments. You will conduct all bookings via the HRG online booking tool.

Part of the role includes the management of storing and operational archiving in line with Ministry of Defence policy.

We are continually committed to operations around the world and your role of the Operations Clerk is vital for ensuring that our Service Personnel deploy at pace to deliver Close Protection operations.

An Operations Clerk will use a laptop for their day-to-day work. Experience in Microsoft platforms, including Outlook / 365, Word and Excel would be highly beneficial to maintain documents and folders. An understanding of video calling / conference calling over Microsoft Teams or Skype is necessary.

You will receive training on the use of the HRG online booking tool to book flights and hotels.

Your position also receives credit cards to purchase a wide-ranging list of commodities to support Operations, so experience is low level finance and managing expenses would be advantageous.

This role may require flexibility in your working day at short notice to support ongoing operational requirements.
