Job Title: Caretaker - split site

**Location**:
**Watford School of Music** (WSM), and
**St Albans Music School** (SAMS)

Salary Range: Job Family 3, pay point 2 - £20,258 FTE

Hours: Full time, term time only. Monday 16:30 - 22:00 (WSM), Tuesday - Thursday 15:30 - 22:00 (SAMS), Friday 16:00 - 21:15 (WSM), and Saturday 08:00 - 09:30 and 14:00 - 17:00 on Saturday, with a 18:00 finish every other Saturday (SAMS). Contract: 1 month rolling contract

About you:
Excellent communication skills, ability to prioritise workload, be organised and efficient. Have a basic understanding of Health & Safety best practice and be willing to support the running of the music centre to deliver successful musical tuition.

Responsibilities also include:

- Conducting visual inspections of the Music Centres, ensuring that heating, lighting, alarm systems and other general items are in working order, and reporting any concerns or issues immediately.
- Demonstrating Health & Safety awareness and have the willingness to conduct online training courses and maintain Health & Safety standards and compliance within the centres.
- Moving and setting up equipment in line with music lessons and/or group sessions such as tables, chairs, musical instruments, and other required equipment.
- Supporting with the unlocking and/or locking up of the centre each day.
- Assist in maintaining the site and premises as required by line management.

The duties and responsibilities describe the basic needs of the post at present, however, the postholder is expected to accept any reasonable alterations or additional responsibilities that may from time to time be necessary and in agreement with line management.
