We are looking for a dynamic and enthusiastic team player to provide administrative support to the consultant and secretarial team within the Gastroenterology department as a Medical Personal Assistant, in particular supporting the consultants seeing patients on a 2 week wait pathway.

This is a key role in a busy department that works closely with the Medical Teams, Nursing Team, Outpatients Department, the endoscopy unit and the wider hospital teams.

You will be part of a friendly patient focussed team, delivering high quality care to patients referred to the Gastroenterology team in Colchester.

You will be responsible for ensuring that the administration needs of the department are completed in a timely way.

You will support team members by having a flexible approach to both workload, additional tasks and working patterns.

For this post you will require attention to detail as well as excellent communication skills and the ability to prioritise and plan as well as being a great team player.
