We are looking for an outstanding teacher who can inspire the students with a love of Languages and a genuine interest in the progress and development of each student.

French, Spanish, German, Italian and Chinese are taught at GCSE and A level/IB. The Head of MFL is expected to be able to teach two of these languages.

The new Head of Department can anticipate a warm welcome and the full support of the staff both within and beyond the Department and can be confident that time and resources will be allocated to their training, induction and support. Our aim is to remain a centre of teaching excellence and to continue to be a place where teachers want to come to work.

All teachers are asked to tutor a small number of students acting as a mentor for their overall academic and pastoral progress, working closely with Heads of Year and pastoral teams. They are expected to contribute to the rich co-curricular life of the College. All tutors are encouraged to visit boarding houses, but there are no residential duties as these are covered by the pastoral teams.
