We are looking for a **Health Advisor - Evidence and Learning** to join our Global Programmes Division to support our Global Health portfolio of programmes, research projects and policy initiatives, with a view to ensure they are based on the best available evidence of what works for children and their caregivers.

**About the role**
As a Health Advisor - Evidence & Learning, you will carry out a broad range of assignments and/or projects in line with our Global Health strategy.
You will hold responsibility for collaborating on research priorities and organisational learning to deliver on Save the Children's strategy. You will be a recognised specialist within Global Health, often working on complex assignments and projects, with a focus on monitoring, evaluation, and research, and providing guidance to others in resolving complex issues in a specialised area.
As the Health Advisor - Evidence & Learning, you will have a strong focus on supporting our Global Health portfolio of programmes, research projects and policy initiatives, with a view to ensure it is based on the best available evidence of what works for children and their caregivers, and maintain or elevate Save the Children's thought-leadership on issues such as vaccination equity, maternal and newborn care, eliminating preventable deaths from pneumonia, malaria and diarrhoea, and sexual and reproductive health. You will be leading our efforts to ensure our programmes' impact is rigorously measured and communicated, and that evidence is generated with, and for the children and caregivers we work with.
You will have a key role in the design of new Global Health projects and programmes, the development of new health research and evidence partnerships, the evaluation of current and future health programmes, the packaging of evidence for different audiences, the dissemination of our best evidence and research products to have the greatest impact on policy makers and thought leaders, and the capacity sharing of MEAL expertise with colleagues from country offices, PQI team, and the wider movement.
You will work closely with the Head of Global Health, and the various Senior Health Advisors in your team, to drive strategic priorities and co-design innovative, progressive ideas to help solve some of the most pressing Global Health issues of our time.
**In this role, you will**:
- Work collaboratively to develop and implement specific parts of the Save the Children strategy to deliver on our ambitious goals for children.
- Collaborate in the technical design and delivery of strategic, inclusive, and impactful programmes, with a focus on the design and implementation of high-quality monitoring and evaluation systems, research, and impact assessments; working collaboratively with stakeholders, and particularly with colleagues in country offices and partners.
- Contribute to and collaborate with others on evidence-based technical strategies and products, such as best practice guidance, standard setting to a high standard.
- Contribute to the work of technical groups within the Save the Children movement and/or wider sector.
- Contribute and support technical engagement in strategic partnerships to amplify impact, including engagement in research partnerships.
- Collaborate within PQI department and the wider organisation with other evidence and learning advisers to strengthen and grow SCUK capacity to use and conduct high-quality research that generates new evidence to address SCUK priorities and global evidence gaps, including by contributing to the movement-wide tools and processes.
- Develop and maintain relationships with key external stakeholders and build good working relationships with technical experts, partners and advocacy targets for technical exchange and influence.
- Provide or facilitate formal and informal support and capacity strengthening to other technical advisers, programme staff, for example through mentoring, coaching, training, or guidance.
- Contribute to research, evaluation, and innovation projects in your field of expertise, adhering to research ethics with robust and responsible data collection, to expand the knowledge base, promote a learning culture and identify new / enhanced approaches to amplify impact.
