Wrexham, United Kingdom The Uncommon Practice Full time

Who are The Uncommon Practice?

The Uncommon Practice are an accounting and consulting firm, shaking up the traditional world of professional services. We have grown rapidly, and expect to double in size in the coming months.

Last year we won the ‘Up and Coming’ award at the Wrexham Business and Community awards 2023. The judges said: “The Uncommon Practice is a professional services accountancy and consultancy with a difference. The Uncommon Practice dares to be different - to be proactive, pragmatic, positive, forward-looking, with personality - in the heart of Wrexham”

**The Role**

As an Administrative Assistant, you’ll be the heartbeat of our practice. Here’s what you’ll do:

- **Administrative Tasks**: Handle day-to-day administrative duties efficiently.
- **Financial and Compliance Tasks**: Assist with financial processes and compliance requirements.
- **Accounting Support**: Work closely with our accounts department to ensure smooth operations.

Who we’re looking for?

While some admin knowledge and experience is helpful for this role, we place far more value on attitude over aptitude.

We looking for someone who has:

- **Strong Written and Verbal Communication**: You can send and write clear, concise messages.
- **A Confident and Professional Manner**: You will represent The Uncommon Practice brand with pride.
- **Strong Organisational Skills**: You will be able to juggle multiple tasks seamlessly.

You will need to be familiar with Microsoft365 tools but you will be given the support you need to learn how to use our other software tools.

Above all, we want someone who embodies our values. Someone proactive, curious, engaging, who gets stuff done - and is definitely not a mood hoover. We want someone ambitious and driven, to support our clients’ and our own growth ambitions.

This role will come with a high level of autonomy. We’re looking for someone who can work as part of our close-knit team, act on their own initiative, manage their time effectively, and take pride in building The Uncommon Practice brand.

Knowledge and Skills (required):

- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal).
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office365 suite (Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook).
- Professional demeanour and organisational abilities.
- Good writing and proofreading skills with a strong attention to detail

Additional Duties

As a growing business, the tasks you undertake will be varied. We expect all of our employees to work flexibly on different tasks when necessary and to understand that tasks not specifically covered in this job description are not excluded.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: £23,000.00 per year

**Benefits**:

- Company pension
- Free parking
- On-site parking

Schedule:

- Monday to Friday

**Education**:

- GCSE or equivalent (preferred)

**Experience**:

- Administrative experience: 1 year (preferred)

**Language**:

- English (required)

Work Location: In person

Application deadline: 14/06/2024
Expected start date: 15/07/2024
