**The role**

Our technical team play an important role in ensuring our quality measures maintain our BRC A grade certification. This role will be ensuring quality performance from customers, suppliers and internal findings are monitored, trended, and provide early escalation to any quality issues to drive improvement. Maintaining and managing the QMS and standards across all areas of production on daily basis and providing support to the wider technical team is also part of this role.

**Key accountabilities**:

- Complaints champion - Responsible for complaints trending, reporting, and highlighting any trends for projects or immediate attention. Coordinate complaint investigations and liaise with customer service team to generate customer response. Reporting for complaints reduction meeting and responsible for driving key complaints projects with support from the rest of the technical team.
- Foreign body complaints - Responsible for coordinating all received customer FB complaints and associated investigations including sign off.
- All other reporting (generating all weekly, monthly and dashboard reporting. Generation of meeting decks for SLT / quality steering etc)
- Budget management - Responsible for ordering all consumables including weekly stock variance investigation and reporting/investigating any variance to budget
- Involved in BRC Preparation and presentation to auditors
- Document controller - Maintain the document control system, history of amendment logs and QMS folders. Responsible for coordinating all changes to existing documentation.
- Micro - carry out risk assessments, scheduling, ordering, results analysis, resampling, coordination of corrective actions and reporting/ trending. Coordinate hygiene meeting and liaise with relevant areas to reduce micro failures.
- Shelf-life determination and testing - coordinating samples and analysing results
- Production kitchen - creation of paperwork/ internal labels for NFD/ EFD launches
- Complete allocated internal audits and provide support for any non conformances identified to ensure close out within allocated timeframe
- Absence cover for other technical team members as required

**PRODUCTION RELATED**
- Completion of technical information for daily production meeting as required
- Ensure out of specification products are prevented from moving forward in production process by reporting unresolved technical issues

**What you'll need**
- Experience of managing a quality management system
- Experience of writing and implementing existing and new quality management procedures, completing risk assessments
- Experience of training and embedding new ways of working
- Food Science or Technology Degree qualified (or similar)
- Food Safety and HACCP qualifications
