**Interim Chief Finance Officer (CFO) |Yorkshire |** **Circa £1250 / day**

**The Opportunity**

Mid - long term interim assignment for a senior finance professional who enjoys transformation and significant change projects.

It’s a reasonably complex group (£200m+ turnover) with plenty of moving parts and an excellent track record.
- You’ll be working in close cohesion with the CEO to embed a culture of excellence and continuous improvement. As the primary finance contact for the group and an absolutely vital member of the boardroom you’ll play a pivotal role in influencing ongoingsuccess, growth and profitability.
- This isn’t about managing the status quo and simply keeping a firm hand on the tillerultimately you’re remit is to proactively deliver positive change - across financial control and governance but as (if not more important) within commercial decisionmaking.
- You’ll enjoy bringing light to which levers and pulleys can be tugged to enhance profit, inject cash, control cost, prevent margin erosion and underpin growth.
- You will work with the CEO to set and deliver plans for optimized business performance, sensible cost management, profit improvement and well-executed growth strategies.

You’ll be a critical friend and business partner to the senior leadership team - challenging why and how things are done and ensuring there is a high degree of commercial awareness and P&L ownership across the group.

You’ll be indirectly managing a large finance function, via a capable management layer, and you must be able to demonstrate a track record of high level coaching and engagement. It’s a 12-24 month phase of change and you need to have the attitude, abilityand gravitas to take the squad with you.
- It goes without saying that you will likely have operated at CFO level previously and have a strong track record of leading large (£150m+ turnover businesses) through change.
- Previous experience of fast paced distribution, wholesale / retail or manufacturing (where stock is a key consideration) is required.
- You need to be someone confident presenting to a senior leadership / C suite / investor team but equally comfortable getting out into the business.
