**About us**

Charnwood Arts Therapy Service Ltd is a small company in Loughborough. We are professional, collaborative and supportive. We provide therapy to children and young people in Leicestershire and surrounding counties. Our therapists are trained to help individuals make sense of their thoughts and feelings through creative art, music, drama and play. The therapy provides a consistent, safe, confidential space where the young person can be creative and explore their feelings with the therapist. Charnwood Arts Therapy aim to provide strategies to develop resilience, self-regulation, support development of relationships and enable increased engagement in education. We are attachment and relational based therapists experienced with supporting children with a range of mental health needs including trauma, attachment, neglect and Abuse, ASD, SMEH, bereavement. Charnwood Arts Therapy is seeking therapists from a range of modalities (Art, Drama, Music, Play and Occupational Therapy) and from a range of localities, including Leicester, Leicestershire and Warwickshire.

**Duties**:

- Conduct individual therapy sessions with clients to address their mental health concerns and provide support.
- Complete session records in a timely manner after each sessionand goals. Complete summary reports/midterm reports in a timely manner to inform professionals collaborating to support the client.
- Utilise evidence-based therapeutic techniques to help clients manage symptoms and improve overall well-being.
- Stay informed about current research and best practices in the field of therapy.
- Attend regular supervision meetings to discuss cases and receive guidance from senior therapists.

**Requirements**:

- Master's degree or equivalent in Art Therapy, Drama Therapy, Music Therapy, Play Therapy and Occupational Therapy.
- HCPC Health and Care Professions Council or BACP registration. Registration with BAAT, BAMT, BADT or RCOT Registration Registration with the body to provide supervision (if this is part of your contract with Charnwood Arts Therapy Service Ltd).
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build rapport with clients.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Knowledge of various therapeutic modalities and the ability to tailor therapy to meet individual client needs.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical guidelines.
- Experience working with diverse populations and addressing issues related to cultural competence.
- Flexibility to work evenings or weekends as needed.
- A 'cleared' DBS is required.
