Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Barista to join our team. As a Barista, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and crafting delicious beverages for our customers. If you have a passion for coffee and enjoy working in a small community orientated, family-run coffee shop, we'd love to hear from you.

**Responsibilities**:

- Greet customers in a friendly and welcoming manner
- Take customer orders and prepare a variety of hot and cold beverages, hot food and cake.
- Maintain high levels of cleanliness, keeping all areas of the coffee shop clean
- Adhering to exceptional levels of food hygiene and allergen awareness
- Assisting with opening and closing of the coffee shop
- Be friendly and professional at all times.

**Skills**:

- Excellent time management skills to ensure efficient service during busy periods
- Basic math skills for handling cash transactions and measuring ingredients
- Ability to work well in a team environment and collaborate with colleagues
- Strong customer service skills to provide a positive experience for every customer
- Knowledge of food preparation techniques
- Understanding of food safety practices and ability to maintain cleanliness standards
- Minimum of Food hygiene level 2 is essential. If you do not have this, it will be a condition of your role that you complete this within 3 months of accepting the position. We will pay for the course and certificate.
- We expect all employees to also undertake allergen awareness training, which we pay for.
- There is scope for one of our employees to undertake Supervisor training, with a view to progressing to a Supervisor role.
- Hourly rate is dependant on age and experience. Shifts include weekend work.

We are ideally looking for someone who can work 1-2 days during the week and 1-2 days of the weekend.

**Job Type**: Part-time

**Salary**: £10.50-£12.00 per hour

Expected hours: 7 - 28 per week
