Are you an experienced Civils GF or a Team Leader with ambition to develop and progress your career?

This role is with our internal Civils Construction team, working on our sites across the Wessex Water region.

**What you'll do**:
As a General Foreperson you will be part of the site management team, working closely alongside the Site Manager, Site Engineers and Supervisors to ensure sites operate to the highest standards and fulfil the company values of Safety, Quality, Time and Cost.

Your day to day responsibilities will include,

Ensuring safe systems of work are implemented and followed on site.

Ensuring the environment is not harmed by our activities.

Making sure that work is completed to a high standard of quality,

Arranging plant, materials and labour resources to make sure that we have what we need on site at the right time.

Assisting the Site Manager to manage and control Sub-Contractor staff and activities.

Liaising with operational colleagues to make sure that the operational process of supply & waste sites is not adversely impacted by our construction work.

Leading, motivating and inspiring our construction teams so that people feel safe, respected, valued and empowered at work.

**What You'll Need**:
Knowledge and experience of civils works including,
- Deep excavations and the selection & installation of temporary works systems.
- Pipelaying & chamber construction.
- Concrete placing & finishing.
- Plant selection and operation.
- Lifting operations.

Applicants will either already hold the following qualifications, or be competent to complete the training.
- SSSTS
- CSCS Supervisor
- First Aid
- Temporary Works Supervisor
- Lifting Operations Supervisor
