Finance Information Officer

**About the Role**
This is an exciting opportunity for a Finance Information Officer to join the Facilities Management Department on a fixed term contract for 12 months to cover maternity leave. Reporting to the Procurement Manager, you will deliver key aspects of the finance functions including leading the financial report collation and production, monitoring of key financial processes and systems, including purchase and sales ledger control and taking ownership for the quality and performance of the financial systems in FM. As part of this changing and dynamic service area you will work independently and as part of a team whilst providing great customer service and continuously improving the service provided to the department and University.
This is an excellent opportunity to join an award-winning Edge Hill University department, offering an opportunity to gain experience in a dynamic Facilities Management function and in a management accounting role producing key financial information to aid the control environment and management decision making.
**About You**
As Finance Information Officer, you will have a sound knowledge and understanding of finance system principles and processes, with strong analytical and financial reporting skills. You will have advanced Excel skills (for example using VLookups etc.) and will have experience and knowledge of electronic financial systems and databases. You will have great interpersonal skills, a strong customer focus and drive for continuous improvement. You will be very organised, have a desire to continuously improve processes and systems and a clear ability to plan and prioritise to meet strict reporting deadlines. You will be an excellent communicator, approachable with strong problem-solving skills with a keen understanding of the purpose and audience of communications. You will be self-motivated, with drive for personal learning and development.
