Liability Resolution Handler

**Description**:
We have an exciting opportunity to become a Motor claims handler, working in our Liability Resolution Team based in our Birmingham office.
As a Liability Resolution Handler, you'll be an essential member of the team, helping our customers over the phone and working alongside our busy and dynamic Motor Claims Centre. You'll be managing your own caseload of disputed claims, seeing them through to resolution and using your negotiation skills and claims knowledge to reach the best outcome for our customer.
At AXA, we're adopting a Hybrid way of working, empowering you to balance your time between home and our Birmingham office in a way that works best for you, your team, and our customers. Our team agreement requires you to work from the office 2 days per week and for one of those days to be a Wednesday.
**What you'll be doing**:
- Ensuring the delivery of excellent customer service by providing relevant and accurate information to every customer based on your professional expertise and training.
- Use your initiative as well as resources to provide the best outcome for the customer.
- Answer calls and inbound correspondence, adhering to standard response times whilst ensuring accurate and timely completion of case notes, logs, and diaries for each customer.
- Utilise strong attention to detail, remaining calm in the face of challenge to effectively help our customers when they need us the most.
- Managing your own caseload of files to resolution keeping all parties involved informed and up to date in a timely manner.
- Supporting claims handlers in other areas with technical claims queries.
**Qualifications**:
- Strong motor insurance knowledge and claims philosophy.
- Experience of making decisions, doing the right thing for the customer and the business.
- Experience of dealing with disputed liability claims and an understanding of caselaw, preferred but not essential.
- Possess advanced influencing and negotiation skills.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and time management skills.
- Excellent listening, written and verbal communication skills.
- Supportive and enthusiastic team player.
