Camper Van Fitter

TC Converters is a small friendly business building high quality bespoke camper vans from our workshop in Newton Abbot, Devon.

Due to growth we are looking to expand and open a branch based in Caerphilly. We are looking for an experienced Campervan fitting engineer / coach builder to complete camper van conversions alongside our fun dedicated team including vehicle electrics, plumbing, mechanical, elevating pop top roofs and fit van windows.

We can offer 40 Hours per week, 8.30 -5pm Monday to Friday (overtime is available but optional)

The essential skills for this post must include:

- A fine eye for detail
- Taking pride in your work
- Electrical knowledge - 12 volt and 240 volts.
- Joinery skills - Cabinet maker and assembly.
- Fabricator - Metalwork / Welding.

Working in our workshop with our experienced team of fitters you will work on:
Constructing units from marine plywood using various materials and fitting hardware such as hinges, catches and draw runners.

Use routers, saws, and trimmers.

Trim component parts of joints by scribing in to ensure a snug fit using hand tools.

Prepare vehicles for conversion to a campervan.

Removal of fittings i.e. seats, seat belts, bulkheads roof linings etc.

Remove or lower fuel tanks to gain access for conversion.

Cut holes in vehicle for the installation of pop top roofs, windows, hook up points and drop out vents

Ply Lining the vehicle with Insulation and carpeting.

Fit plywood floor and specialist flooring.

Run Cabling and Connections

Plumbing

Fitting Solar Panels

**Salary**: £11.00-£14.00 per hour

Schedule:

- Monday to Friday

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Caerphilly: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

**Experience**:

- Camper van conversion: 1 year (required)
