WHAT WE DO

Calvert Reconnections is a Neuro-Rehabilitation Centre provides a residential centre for people in the post-acute phase following an Acquired Brain Injury (ABI), tailoring a programme to meet individual’s needs.

We are a clinically lead team who uses physical exercise, outdoor activities and group work in a social environment as key factors within our post injury rehabilitation service. Our unique service focuses on ‘learning through doing’ in the outdoors, supported by a multidisciplinary team in a purpose-built residential centre.

**ABOUT THE ROLE**:
Provide catering support in the preparation, cooking and serving of food and beverages plus related catering duties. Have a friendly, caring approach to work as part of the team in a welcoming environment.

**KEY ACCOUNTABLITIES**:

- Prepare the dining area for service, which may include moving and/or setting up furniture and trolleys, cleaning putting away after service.
- Prepare the service area, hot cupboards and other equipment as instructed.
- Assist in the preparation, cooking and serving of food and beverages as instructed.
- Wash dishes, cutlery, tumblers, jugs, serving utensils, containers, tables, and all other catering equipment in the catering environment.
- Clean catering areas to regulated standards as directed.
- Undertake on and off the job training as required by the catering Manager
- Inform the Catering Manager of any defects in equipment or premises.
- There may be a requirement to transfer to another Calvert Trust within a reasonable geographical distance and reasonable notice.
- Undertake any other duties that may be required for the effective operation of the catering establishment.

**OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES**

1. At all times to represent the Lake District Calvert Trust in a thoroughly professional manner.

2. Assist other teams and departments as required in order to ensure the effective operation of the Trust. This includes providing temporary cover at any other Lake District Calvert Trust site.

3. **Job Type**: Part-time
Part-time hours: 22.5 per week

**Salary**: £10.98-£11.22 per hour
