**Key activities**

Support the Global Head of SCIB to deliver the strategic agenda of the division, leading strategic projects and the activities required to run the business.

A) Closely working with Global Head of SCIB and his leadership team to convey strategic view and messaging around results, execution of initiatives, including business reviews, documents for Group level governance (Board of Directors, Executive Committee ) and preparing for interactions with clients and regulators

B) Contribute to set the strategic agenda of the division and take responsibility for delivering underlying strategic projects, working closely with product/country teams
- Lead / Support the global strategic planning processes for SCIB (global strategic and budgeting plans - 1-3-5 years planning)
- Lead, oversee and monitor the development of the business strategic projects/ initiatives of the division. Close collaboration and drive to engage with SCIB leadership (geographies & products) to push local and global SCIB initiatives.
- Significant influencing of senior stakeholders, at all levels, is required as well as leadership experience to prioritize competing demands and deliver to tight timeframes.

C) Key SCIB liaison with Santander 's other global businesses/ corporate functions on multitude of aspects

D) Retrieve and centralise market intelligence, benchmarking / competitive environment analysis, knowledge centre for the business

E) Ensure the appropriate execution of the internal governance procedures

**What we’re looking for**
- Strong relevant experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering or similar. MBA / Master in finance would be valuable
- Solid financial knowledge, specific understanding of Investment Banking business, understanding of markets/investors' drivers (equity research experience valuable)
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team and to lead by influence, with people at all levels
- Very strong written and verbal communication skills in English. Spanish a plus
- Availability to travel internationally

This role is based in our Triton Square office in London, conveniently located within walking distance from Euston Station and Warren Street Station.
