Traffic Planner

EFS Global is a fast-growing Logistics company based in Burnley with over 30 depots throughout the UK. We are currently recruiting for Transport Planner, to join our experienced team at Head Office.

The Traffic Planner is a key member of the transport team and primarily responsible for overseeing the smooth day to day planning of rigid vehicles throughout the UK.

**Role Responsibilities**:

- Overseeing the daily route planning of general Haulage Tramping work, throughout the UK
- Liaising with existing customers and third parties to arrange deliveries and collections, making sure all our goods are delivered in a timely and efficient manner, ensuring high expectations are constantly met.
- Monitoring workload via internal systems to ensure vehicles are assigned to general freight and work prioritised.
- Planning loads and routes that are commercially beneficial to the company, searching internal platforms looking for jobs to keep all vehicles moving.
- Carry out driver debriefs and training, ensuring that our transport operation is running both safely and cost-effectively
- Act as the first point of escalation, dealing with daily issues from customers and drivers.
- Managing drivers and monitoring their performance, advising and disciplining as and when required.
- Escalate details of vehicle accidents, defects or any fleet issues to senior management

Working Hours on either a weekly / 2 weekly rota;
- Monday-Friday; 7am till around 3pm
- Monday-Friday; 10am till 6pm. When working this shift, you will take the Work Mobile home, and be on call dealing with any emergencies that may arise.

**Experience is preferred but NOT essential.**

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: £25,000.00-£28,000.00 per year
