**Position Summary**:
Required for a busy Electrical Contracting company in the South Wales Area. The company are an Electrical Contractor who design, build, install and maintain electrical equipment to commercial and industrial customers across the UK.

An Electrical contractor specialising in full electrical installations and temporary electrical site services has a requirement for an Electrical Estimator to put together accurate estimates from drawings and briefs.

This is a great opportunity for an Estimator looking for a fixed term contract with an established and successful contractor in a technically interesting role.

**About the Role**

As part of a successful and growing Electrical department, you’ll provide support to the team that’s been delivering industry leading design solutions for decades. Your organisational and communication skills will help you interact with internal and external contacts to deliver projects within time, quality and budget constraints. You’ll also work to play an integral role in the driving of quality standards and the development of the team as a whole.

**The Successful Electrical Estimator will be**:

- Completing Estimates for BIDS and Quotes on Electrical Installations and temporary sites electrical services, ranging from £10k - £5M
- Using a pricing and quote system to deliver accurate estimates
- Attending site visits as and when required.
- Identifying and building up cost estimates by analysing the materials and labour needed to complete several projects
- Examining and explaining the cost of wasted materials and possible delays in a project, and suggesting recommendations or coming up with solutions to fix these issues
- Reviewing residential, industrial, and commercial building plans in order to determine the electrical needs of a project
- Reviewing supplier costs in order to determine how much each individual element costs, and negotiating with suppliers in order to bargain the best prices
- Maintaining cost of databases and outlining common costs in order to save time on future estimates.
- Based in the Talbot Green Office.

**Electrical Estimator - qualifications, skills and experience**:

- Must have previous experience as an Electrician / Electrical Engineer
- Must have experience with estimating / accurate quotes
- Needs to be computer literate
- Must have an electrical background
- Will need to be able to do basic electrical circuit design, lighting and cable calculations - volt drop calculations

**Salary**: £20,000.00-£25,000.00 per year
