**NOT A HYBRID ROLE - Your time will be spent working in the office, which is based in Fleet, Hampshire**

We have a fabulous opportunity for a Scientific Director to join an award winning communications agency who, as part of their continued growth, are recruiting a Scientific Director to join their growing team.

The Scientific Director will be an individual who is able to carry out the following duties:

- The role is a combination of hands-on senior level writing, heading up the growing writing team and working with the Directors on agency growth and strategy.
- You will work on materials for multiple therapy areas that are delivered via multiple communications platforms.
- You should, therefore, show an ability to develop scientific strategy for content for a variety of platforms, including digital.
- You’ll lead a small team of medical writers, working with a wider team of account handling, design and technical staff, providing scientific advice on creative and digital concepts.
- You should be an existing Scientific Director or a Senior Medical Writer keen to move into a more strategic and commercial leadership role.
- You’ll be someone who enjoys keeping abreast of industry advancements, proactively sharing your knowledge and inspiring a team of writers and look for new ways to help clients to deliver their message.

The Scientific Director will need to have the following core experience and competencies:

- Several years medical writing experience
- Demonstration of career progression in medical communications or medical education agencies. Experience gained from working in market research or within the pharmaceutical industry is also desirable but not essential
- Strong writing, presentation and communications skills
- The ability to work as a versatile, supportive team player within the Agency
- A demonstrable high degree of energy and enthusiasm for work; preparedness to 'go the extra mile’ and work flexible hours when necessary
