Roofing Intermediate

StructureCare are CPG’s Specialist in-house Contractor who are focussed on the Repair, Maintenance and Protection of Buildings and Structures throughout the UK and are seeking to appoint a Roofing Intermediate to our ever-expanding team.

**Duties**:
Whilst not exhaustive, the key responsibilities of this role will include:

- Undertake specialist roofing activities as part of a team led by the Roofing Foreman on Construction Sites around the UK.
- Work under the direction of the Roofing Foreman.
- Work within a 1-2 man crew installing liquid waterproofing and BUR systems.
- At times lead and take responsibility for a team, where for example a Roofing Foreman is not able to attend or where teams may be split into sub-teams on a project. This will form part of your development and progress through the business.
- Assists the Foreman in the upkeep of all site documentation and site records including daily recording of project activities.
- Provide support to your co-workers, in particular Site Operatives to ensure that they work safely, diligently and in the best interests of the business at all times.
- Ensure that tasks are clear and understood prior to undertaking. Seeking guidance and clarification when needed from the Roofing Foreman.
- Ensure that you take good care of our vehicles, plant and equipment. Ensuring that plant and equipment is in good clean working order, and that daily checks are undertaken and any issues, concerns or defects in the equipment are reported.
- Ensure that PPE is in good order and is used as directed by the safe systems of work provided.
- Work as part of a team, assisting others to ensure that works are completed safely, responsibly and within scope, specification and budget.
- Ensure that work is completed safely and participate in safety briefings. Ensure that incidents or near misses are reported to allow us to review and act.
- Ensure good housekeeping is maintained at all times.
- Ensure that you remain vigilant and aware of risks presented by your actions, ensuring your own safety and well-being, and that of your co-workers, the general public and other stakeholders.
- Demonstrate a general knowledge of construction principles and repair methods; and be prepared to learn new skills.
- Assist others using your experience and knowledge.
- Ensure safe handling and storage of materials during our work.
- Undertake daily task related monitoring, maintain records and reporting information when instructed to ensure that we can monitor and record your safety and wellbeing.
- Visit other projects for roof repairs/maintenance and warranty issues as directed by superiors

**Skills and Requirements**
- **Experience**:Roofing experience preferred however applicants with experience within construction will be considered
- **knowledge**:Working towards or willingness to to work towards a roofing qualification in liquid waterproofing.
- UK driving licence essential
- Valid CSCS card advantageous
