**We are looking for a Senior General Operative**

At our Production site based at Stanley Farm, Great Drove, Yaxley we are looking for a diligent, self-motivated, team player who can exceed in their duties to help us retain our position as a leading fresh produce supplier in the UK. We’re dedicated to using the very best of sustainable farming techniques in our own farming and collaborating with other expert farmers. We grow the finest quality potatoes, root vegetables which we pack ourselves to supply to our customers.

You will join us on a **fulltime, permanent** contract.

The shift pattern will be working 5 days out of 7 days, 07:00 - 17:00

**Responsibility**:
**The Job Role**

We are looking for a Senior General operative to join the Production Department to play a key role in ensuring that quality standards are met, and customer orders are completed on time.

**Key Responsibilities Include**:

- Understand raw material specifications and product defects that must be identified.
- Grade products in line with those specifications.
- Escalate any concerns relating to product quality or line efficiency to your immediate to the Senior Line Leader and QA.
- Cover for the Quality Assurance and System Administrator role as required.
- Follow the Food Safety Quality Management System to ensure product safety legality, quality and customer codes of practice are achieved.
- Process ERP production orders: ensuring Raw Material, Waste and Secondary outputs are accurate with correct quantities.
- Organoleptic assessments of products as and when required.
- Perform Raw Material Intake Analysis and record results on Dynamics Navision.
- Strip down and deep clean areas as per hygiene schedule or upon request by Line Manager.
- Use cleaning chemicals to the correct titration as stated on the hygiene instruction cards in conjunction with COSHH procedures.
- Ensure that the cleaning and safety equipment required by the team is used correctly and that any damage is reported, removed from the area and replaced with new.
- Actively communicate and seek feedback from colleagues and customers.
- Play a participative part in Team Briefs.
- Be fully engaged and understand the Burgess Farm’s vision, values and behaviours.

**What we are looking for**:

- Previous experience within a similar role in the Food Manufacturing industry.
- Knowledge of Quality Assurance and System Administrator responsibilities.
- Strong communication skills both verbally and written.
- A real team player with a positive attitude to implement change.
