Inventory Controller

**Main Purpose**

We are looking for an Inventory Controller responsible for monitoring warehouse inventory and performing cycle counting duties, to ensure that all materials are properly verified to be reflective of reported inventory.

Duties also include miscellaneous stores/stockroom activities to maintain inventory accuracy through proper processing of material receipts, transfers, and issues.

**Responsibilities**

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Cycle count raw materials, packaging materials and finished goods daily
- Utilize SAP software to process cycle counts, review on-hand inventory, current activity, and past activity
- Ensure materials are in proper locations and conduct searches in order to locate misplaced inventory
- Open cartons, bundles, and other packaging types to count items and/or weigh materials to determine quantity on hand. Weigh and identify carton with remaining product quantity
- Report damaged product and discrepancies of defined amounts to Materials Manager
- Communicate and develop process improvements as needed (performs root cause analysis on inventory discrepancies and recommends process improvements to eliminate them)

Secondary Duties
- Assist in receiving and putting away process for raw material deliveries.
- Assist in transfer of raw materials to and from production area.
- Decant boxes and pallets as necessary to fit shelving.

Additional Duties
- Ensure all safety rules are strictly observed.
- Maintain neat, clean and orderly warehouse appearance.
- Ability to work extended hours/over-time as needed including annual stocktake.
- Adhere to all company policies, safety procedures and guidelines.
- Ensure proper use of PPE.
- Conform to all quality and safety procedures. Operate a forklift, and other Stores Manual Handling Equipment.

**Skills, Knowledge and Experience**
**ESSENTIAL**
- Good Standard of Education
- Experience of SAP or equivalent MRP system
- Stock experience within a manufacturing environment
- The ability to work to a daily schedule with mínimal supervision
- Positive attitude
- Ability to problem solve efficiently and effectively

**DESIRABLE**
- Fork truck driving experience and a valid counterbalance and Combi-lift forklift license
