Are you a dedicated and passionate individual looking to make a profound impact on the lives of young people? Engage Education is thrilled to be recruiting for an Alternative Provision based in the vibrant borough of Croydon. We are seeking enthusiastic and committed Behaviour Mentors to support KS3 and KS4 pupils with SEMH (Social, Emotional, and Mental Health) and other complex needs. As a key member of our team, you will play a pivotal role in nurturing the potential of these students and guiding them towards a brighter future.

**Your Role as a Behaviour Mentor**:As a Behaviour Mentor, you will be at the forefront of transforming the lives of young people with SEMH and complex needs. Your primary responsibilities will include:
**Building strong, positive relationships with students**: Creating a nurturing and respectful atmosphere to foster trust and rapport with the students you support.
**Providing targeted support**: Working closely with students on a one-to-one basis or in small groups to address behavioural challenges and promote positive coping strategies.
**Collaborating with teachers and support staff**:Sharing insights and progress updates to create cohesive strategies that promote holistic development.
**Developing individualised plans**:Designing and implementing personalised intervention programs that address specific behavioural and emotional needs.
**Encouraging personal growth**:Assisting students in building self-esteem, resilience, and confidence to overcome obstacles and reach their full potential.
**Your Skills and Qualifications**: To succeed as a Behaviour Mentor, you should possess the following:
- Previous experience working with students with SEMH and/or complex needs, ideally within an educational or youth support setting.
- Empathy and patience to handle challenging situations with compassion and understanding.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with students, parents, and colleagues.
- A genuine passion for helping young people overcome obstacles and thrive in their educational journey.
