**Job Description** Raw Materials QA | 4 on 4 off 6am till 6pm | £12.74**

This role will ensure that intake checks are completed on all products that arrive from suppliers to make sure that they conform to an agreed specification from a safety, quality and legality point of view. If rejected, the product is put into isolation and the relevant rejection paperwork completed and communicated to the relevant people in the business.

**What you will do**
- Conduct visual and practical quality assessments on inbound raw materials against Quality Attribute Sheets/Supplier Specifications
- Conduct additional raw materials sampling as required
- Complete records and logs for all activities according to procedure
- Manage administration for Raw Materials
- Work collaboratively with other teams to ensure materials are available for production.
- Ensure that the business is always audit ready and the GMP standards are maintained throughout the site.
- Support the technical team in achieving necessary standards for BRC
- Supporting with delivery of key departmental KPI’s
- To maintain hygiene standards and cleanliness across the Intake Office and Kitchen and ensuring equipment is looked after and maintained
- Promote a Health & Safety Culture to ensure Health & Safety requirements are met

**Skills & Experience Required**
- Previous experience gained within a raw material related role preferably in a Food or fulfilment environment.
- Practical auditing experience.
- Chilled food experience (advantageous)
- Working knowledge of HACCP, BRC and GMP would be a real advantage.
- Practical allergen labelling knowledge
- Sensory evaluation experience
- Risk assessment & decision making skills
- Excellent organisational skills.
- A confident and forward thinking team player.
- Excellent attention to detail, flexibility and problem solving.
- Ambitious and looking to progress in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including ability to effectively communicate with internal and external customers.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Ability to work cross functionally, working in a collaborative way to drive improvement.

Food Safety Level 2

HACCP level 2

Auditing qualification (advantageous)
