There are 2 posts for full-time obstetric consultants with a special interest in high risk pregnancy.
The general obstetric commitments include both routine and emergency obstetrics and on call for obstetrics).The key clinical requirements of the post are to provide consultant labour suite cover, elective caesarean lists, ward rounds, maternity triage, assessment unit cover and antenatal clinics.
The specialist components of the post will involve: establishing a specialist clinic for women with dichorionic, diamniotic twin pregnancy, to run alongside our existing monochorionic twin pregnancy clinics; becoming part of the team providing multi-professional vulnerable women and mental health antenatal clinics; providing external cephalic version.

Nottingham University Hospitals (NUH) is one of the biggest and busiest NHS Trusts in the country with a budget of over £1billion and over 17,000 staff. We provide services to over 2.5 million residents of Nottinghamshire.
The Maternity and Gynaecology department includes all hospital and community based obstetrics, gynaecology and midwifery services. 44 consultants contribute to our obstetrics and gynaecology service.
The hospital based services are split between the City hospital and Queen’s Medical Centre sites. Both have a labour suite which is associated with a level 3 Neonatal Unit, dedicated obstetric anaesthetic service, and inpatient and outpatient obstetric services. There is a 3 tier junior doctor 24 hour presence. Our fetal medicine centre accepts regional referrals, and is delivered across the two sites. There is a dedicated maternal medicine service, with multi-professional clinics including obstetric haematology, renal, and medical. There is a strong research presence in the department, with Nottingham contributing to, and leading, national and international clinical trials. We have dedicated scan clinics and a team of midwifery sonographers working alongside our radiology teams.
Our gynaecology service includes urogynaecology, reproductive medicine, benign and emergency gynaecology, and gynae oncology.
There are weekly consultant meetings (via MSTeams) and quarterly departmental meetings.

**Salary**: The quoted salary will be on a pro rata basis for part time workers.
