Principal Structural Engineer - Middlesbrough / Teesside Freeport
This is an opportunity for a Structural Engineer who already has a strong technical and project management background but is looking to make an impact on a flagship project. You will be working primarily on the structural design and construction of the UK'sfirst monopile factory, the SeAH Wind facility scheme, a new facility that will produce bases for offshore wind turbines.
You will initially be located in the design office in central Middlesbrough which forms part of the Contractor team, working closely with international contractors, architects and specialists including cladding and concrete specialists, as well as liaisingwith our team of structural designers based in our London office. Excellent communication skills, collaboration and relationship building skills will therefore be essential. You will also be required to be on site at Teesside Freeport.
Our requirements
*Proven track record of project delivery, significant technical and project management experience in particular to act as a key structural design co-ordinator for the Contractor.
*Experience of working on large steelwork projects e.g., warehouses and steelwork design, knowledge of reinforced concrete and ground floor sub structures.
*Experience of working across disciplines (structures, hydrology, geotechnical and civil engineering, MEP engineers and other specialists).
*Knowledge of industry software.
*Ability to competently design to Eurocode Standards.
*Relevant qualification such as BEng / CEng Civil Engineering
*Significant post qualification experience
*Chartered membership of ICE or IStructE is desirable.
