We are recruiting for three Safer Roads Mobile Safety Camera Enforcement Officers within our Safer Roads Unit to help keep roads safe and reduce casualties. Our roles are based on the Isle of Wight (Shanklin), Netley (Southampton) and Whitchurch (near Andover and Basingstoke).

Part of the role is representing the force at local events, being a visual presence, building relations with local communities through meetings and events within the area you will cover.

There may be times where you have direct contact with members of the public which arise as part of the role you are performing, this could be due to where you park and what you do or ask for advice and guidance. Due to this, you should be confident and professional when you are speaking with members of the public and confident to be able to de-escalate situations should they develop. We will provide full accreditation and training to give you the best tools to approach these situations. You will be driving a marked police van and a full manual driver’s licence is required in order for you to do this.

We operate an 8 week rolling shift pattern with. The shifts will include 7:00am to either 15:00 or 16:00 and 11:00 to 20:00 including one weekend in four.
