**BIN CLEANER DRIVER**

**JOB SUMMARY**:
Looking for a reliable, enthusiastic individual to join our small friendly team. Looking for either full time or part-time staff, part-time would be Wednesday, Thursday and Friday work.

If you like working outdoors and predominantly off your own initiative, with good navigational skills then this could be the perfect job for you.

Working throughout Dacorum and Chiltern areas as a Bin Cleaner Driver you will generally be working as a lone worker, and will be given a daily round sheet which you will need to follow to attend residential and commercial premises to clean customers bins. You will need to use your phone at work and be able to read from google sheets on this. You will be allocated your own bin washing trailer and van to use whilst at work and, in addition to your bin cleaning duties you will be responsible for keeping your van and trailer clean and in good condition at the end of each day. Typically you will clean approximately 80-110 bins per day (but there is no limit upper or lower).

You may also be required to assist with delivering leaflets and tagging bins with our marketing materials.

**SALARY & BENEFITS**:
**This is a full-time permanent position with a pension scheme.**
- Starting at £20,500 per annum pro-rata, increasing to £21,000 plus bonuses after initial 3 month probation period is passed. Overtime opportunities are sometimes available. Monthly bonuses can be as much as £200 per month (£2000PA) dependant on employee performance.

**WORKING DAYS/HOURS**:

- Normally Monday - Friday 8.00am - 5.00pm (Tuesday - Saturday on Bank Holiday weeks and occasional weeks).
- If we lose weekdays due to bad weather you may be required to work additional Saturdays or longer weekdays to help catch up any missed work.
- Non-Guaranteed Overtime may be required at times, particularly on Saturdays and is compulsory when requested, so you must make yourself available.

- Able to work off own initiative as well as being part of a small team.
- You must have high standards of cleaning and have excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- A good knowledge of the local area would be useful but is not essential.
- Good navigational abilities
- You must enjoy working outdoors in all weather conditions.
- You must enjoy working on your own.
- You must have a cheerful disposition.

You must live no further than a 30 minute commute away from Hemel Hempstead.

**CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS**

**KEY ELEMENTS ESSENTIAL FOR THE ROLE OF BIN CLEANING OPERATIVE**:

- A full UK Driving Licence (maximum 3 points).
- No drink or drug driving or criminal convictions either in the past or pending.
- Minimum of 1 year driving experience.
- A confident driver who will able to tow and manoeuvre a trailer (training given).
- Your own mobile smartphone with sufficient data in order to keep in contact with the office and other cleaning staff and to access your daily round sheets.
- Basic reading and writing skills.
- Able to talk confidently to customers when approached.
- You should have good navigational skills and memory
- You need to be able to complete the work with accuracy and attention to detail.
