**Bodyshop Supervisor Job description**

**Carbase **is a family-owned business that over the last 20 years has grown into the largest, independent pre-owned dealership in the South West.

You will be responsible for controlling workflow into the Bodyshop, ensuring quality and targets. This role is a semi productive role, reporting to the Cosmetic Leader.

**What you will be doing**:

- Control the daily workflow going into the Bodyshop.
- Supervise a teams of 9 Bodyshop technicians.
- Prioritising sold vehicles to minimise customer waiting times.
- Prioritising our valued external customer (Vehicle Leasing Company) to meet agreed service level agreements.
- Manage the team’s attendance and record any absences, following company policy.
- Provide feedback to the cosmetic leader and escalate any issue that needs management attention.
- To contribute towards the continuous improvement of processes that could lead to efficiency or productivity gains.
- To communicate with the other cosmetic supervisors to identify problems and solutions as a team.
- This is a semi - productive role, requiring 50% productivity hours (prepping / painting/ polishing) minimum per week and 50% allocated to supervisory tasks.

**Essential Skills**:

- Knowledge and experience working in a Bodyshop as either a prepper, painter, strip & fitter or polisher role (minimum 2 years)
- Previous experience in a similar supervisor role is desirable.
- Well-developed interpersonal skills with an ability to influence those around them and an ability to manage conflict and tough conversations with teams in the workshop.
- Ability to motivate a team of technicians to deliver against productivity targets.
- Personal resilience, with drive and motivation to succeed.
