Our client is looking for an interim HR/ER Advisor to support for a minimum term of 1 month. Supporting the head of Employee relations, working on complicated ER cases, and providing an advisory service to senior managers.
The role will be based near Paddington, London but will require travel to different sites. They also offer the opportunity to work from home 2 days per week, depending on meetings scheduled.
**Duties will include**:
- Supporting the Head of ER and Policy in case management of more complex formal cases.
- To liaise with external legal advisors as required in respect of complex cases under the supervision of the Head of ER.
- Provide ER advice to line managers and HR teams in terms of formal and informal cases.
- Ensure accurate reporting, administration and maintenance of the ER Case Management Tracker working with HR BPs and Advisors
- Create case management reports for the HR BPs and divisions to use for effective people / team management and to prevent issue escalation early on
- Support the recruitment, training and coordinating investigating officers (line managers with some time explicitly dedicated to carrying out investigations)
- Support the assigning of investigating officers to cases as needed to ensure independence and timely resolution.
- Lead on development of a database of former cases or precedents to ensure consistency across divisions.
- Regularly share best case examples and learnings from previous cases and situations with the wider HR team
- To assist managers and staff in resolving informal and formal disagreements / concerns raised by staff through facilitation, mediation, and negotiation (including seeking compromise) with all parties concerned.
- Deliver tailored policy clinics and workshops for line managers (e.g. sickness absence or capability workshops) together with HR BP team.
- Support the delivery of training on mediation and dealing with difficult workplace relationships.
To be considered for this role you must be immediately available and have previous experience working within a HR Team and working on complex ER cases.
