**About us**

PPP UK Limited is part of PPP European Group based in Oaklands, East Farleigh. Oaklands is a grade II property with extensive gardens, woodlands of nearly 34 acres. The gardens are of historic, a mix of traditional design and contemporary style and continually evolving.

We are seeking an experienced gardener to join our existing small team, and working across the diverse range of gardens. Qualified to level 2, and with experience of working within professional gardens, the role will also include working alongside other team members. With a 5 day per week rota to fulfil, our small team must work effectively and efficiently to deliver and maintain our beautiful gardens all times.

Our gardens are diverse, with intensive herbaceous borders, lawns and woodland gardens. This role requires a strong general horticultural skills base, with perhaps a specialism within a certain relevant discipline. Working closely with colleagues to present the gardens to a high standard. The role requires use of a range of machinery and manual equipment, and whilst training is provided, experience in these areas is beneficial, or an aptitude and willingness to train and develop.

An estate as varied as Oaklands means that there will also be times when the gardening team help out elsewhere on the estate, primarily with other grounds/estate care activities.

**Description**:
As a gardener you will have a confident set of skills and knowledge to operate unsupervised in general, day-to-day horticultural tasks, such as weeding, pruning, planting and mowing. You will have developed these skills not only through training, but whilst working as a gardener at a professional level, building an intuitive knowledge of daily and longer-term garden care to a high standard.

As a gardener you will have a keen interest in horticulture, and in seeing the gardens develop and improve. This will encourage you to make suggestions, perhaps taking responsibility for set areas, and making informed maintenance choices or decisions.

Qualifying Requirements

Level 2 qualification in horticulture (or equivalent experience/qualification)

A minimum of 2 years working as a professional gardener

Full Driving License preferred but not essential

**Salary**: £21,000.00-£25,000.00 per year
