**Student Services Coordinator**

**Location**: Oxford

**Salary**: £23,000 per annum

**The Role**

As Student Services Co-ordinator, you are responsible for assisting the school Principal, Academic Manager, Senior Teacher and Module Coordinators to ensure students are fully supported throughout their student journey at the Oxford International OxfordCentre. The Student Support Manager ensures student welfare is prioritised to allow students to progress and achieve the best possible outcomes.

**Qualifications**

Essential:

- Good numeracy and literacy skills
- Undergraduate degree in any social science discipline

Desirable:

- Accredited coaching/counselling qualification

**Experience and Knowledge**

Essential:

- Thorough understanding of what makes a successful foundation year programme
- Experience of working with students from a diversity of cultures
- Experience planning and organising events

Desirable:

- Experience of working in a busy office environment
- Experience of managing student services within an educational setting
- Knowledge of H&S regulations, risk assessments

**Skills and Abilities**

Essential:

- Strong leadership skills and mentoring experience
- Good organisational skills
- Ability to deal sensitively with student questions and issues
- Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels (written and verbally)
- Consistent follow through of student/customer problems
- Effective time management while prioritising customer service and administrative duties

Desirable:

- Knowledge of a 2nd language
- First aid training
- Safeguarding training

**Role Requirements**
- Eligibility to live and work in in the UK
- Undergo an Enhanced DBS disclosure check or overseas equivalent
- Willingly take part in all relevant training as required, such as fire marshal, Prevent, and safeguarding courses
