An opportunity has arisen for an experienced Paediatric Dietitian to join the NHS Tayside Nutrition and Dietetic Service as Team Lead for the Paediatric Dietetic Service. The Paediatric Dietetic Service comprises of a team of 6.2 WTE qualified staff and a 0.73WTE Dietetic Support Worker who provide specialist dietetic advice and clinical support to:

- Inpatient settings for acutely ill children in the Paediatric Wards and Special Care Baby Unit within Ninewells Hospital.
- Outpatients within all homely settings, Paediatric Assessment Unit and dietetic/MDT clinics.

Service provision is to all specialities including neonates, cystic fibrosis, ketogenic, metabolic, gastroenterology, oncology, cardiology, renal, allergy, complex needs and faltering growth regardless of underlying condition.

This is an exciting opportunity to consolidate clinical experience in paediatric dietetics and embrace the opportunity for professional leadership experience. The post holder will be professionally and operationally managed by the Nutrition and Dietetic Service Lead responsible for hospital services.

The Tayside Nutrition & Dietetic Service promotes collaborative working across all our teams in different settings and specialities. This enables and encourages the development and implementation of pathways, standards and innovative practice. It also allows for extensive peer support and opportunities for professional development. We are committed to the training of dietetic students, medical students and other healthcare professionals.

Excellent inter-personal and communications skills and the ability to demonstrate good team working as well as being able to work autonomously are required.

You must be registered with the Health and Care Professions Council

Hours of work are: Full-time 37.5 per week
