Purpose of the role

You will play a fundamental role in achieving our ambitious customer revenue growth objectives. You must be comfortable making outbound calls, identifying sales opportunities, and closing sales. You will effectively manage targeted key accounts, opportunities for growth, low spending accounts and also Internet Accounts. You will be generating new business with the focus being on increasing sales and volume into the A.I. and O.E.M. channels as well as the wider business.

Key responsibilities
- Understanding customer needs and requirements.
- Routing qualified opportunities to an appropriate Area Sales Manager (ASM) if customers require a meeting in person.
- Building, maintaining, retaining business relationships.
- Playing a fundamental role in achieving our customer revenue growth objectives.
- Working to KPl's and sales measures
- Understanding customer needs and requirements
- Closing sales and achieve quarterly quotas.
- Researching accounts, identify key players and generate interest.
- Teaming up with channel partners to build pipeline and close deals.
- Visiting customers with Area Sales Managers & cover when needed.
- Working alongside the marketing team with sample and show board requests.
- Assisting Area Sales Managers by producing back-order reports, sample & show board lists, & quotes.

Skills, competencies, qualifications and personal experience
- Strongly self-motivated.
- Sales focussed to maximise performance in the channel.
- Professional and diligent.
- Has demonstrable structured selling and negotiation skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills to work cross functionally with different departments in the organisation and senior customer contacts.
- The ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Commercial acumen.
- The ability to create and maintain strong business relationships.
- Calm under pressure and professional at all-times.
- A good understanding of Microsoft Office and competence with a variety of software packages such as CRM.
- The ability to adapt and learn new programmes such as Barbour ABI and Microsoft Smartsheet.
- A tenacious approach to developing our business.
- Energy and enthusiasm.
