Our client, a Main Contractor, based in Bedford, are seeking an Assistant Estimator to join their building envelope division due to continued growth. Projects are mainly in the commercial sector spanning the UK and Europe. The Assistant Estimator will beresponsible for working as a key member of the preconstruction team completing the following duties:

- Reading drawings and complete details measurements for lump sum tenders.
- Obtaining quotes for all scope requirements from sub-contractors and suppliers
- Collating detailed price lists of everything needed on each tender.
- Calculating the cost of materials, labour and prelims for tendered scope.
- Presenting bids to clients and answering their mid and post tender queries.
- Attending meetings and site visits with potential clients.

**Assistant EstimatorPosition Requirements**
- Minimum of 1 years' experience working in construction estimating with some knowledge of roofing & cladding
- Full driving licence
- Based within commuting distance of Bedford
- Must be seeking a long term role

**Assistant EstimatorPosition Remuneration**
- Working Hours: Monday to Friday 8:30am - 5:30pm
- Salary: £25k - £35k (open to discussion)
- 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays
- CPD and certified training
