HR Assistant/recruiter

PCA is one of the UK’s largest archaeological companies, with seven regional offices across the country. We have been delivering professional heritage services for 30 years. We are looking to recruit an HR assistant and Recruitment Officer, to help our HR Manager. This is a new position, available full-time or part-time. There is no requirement for knowledge of or experience in archaeology, just a positive attitude and willingness to help whenever asked.
**About the Job**:
**Location**: Brockley, London
**Working week**: Full time : Monday to Friday 37.5 hours per week, usually 8:30am - 4:30 pm Part time: Monday, Thursday and Friday
**Salary range**:From £30,418.20 - £31,574.02 pa (depending on experience)
**The Role**:
**Essential Requirements**:
- Previous experience working in an office environment
- HR experience in either an assistant or generalist role
- Attention to detail
- Previous experience assisting multiple managers
- Ability to prioritise tasks as and when required
- Excellent written English and verbal communication skills
- Experience using Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
- Ability and willingness to attend the Brockley offices
- Discretion and professionalism in all matters
**Desirable Requirements**:
- CPD/CIPD qualification or working towards a CPD/ CIPD qualification
- Experience in dealing with sensitive information
- Experience using HR Software (Iris/Sage/HRToolkit/Coretime)
**Role Will Include (this list is not exhaustive)**:
**Admin/HR Jobs**
- Sorting and distributing post
- Franking and sending post
- Office supplies orders and stock maintenance
- Scanning and filing of sign in sheets
- Creating and updating new starter folders
- Issuing new starter forms to new employees and ensure they are returned, filled out correctly, and saved on system.
- Issuing reference requests as directed by management or HR manager and ensure these are returned and stored correctly
- Issuing finalised contracts created by HR manager to relevant parties and request signed returned copies to file on system
- Updating Starters and Leavers spreadsheet as required
- Setting up new starters for all offices on HRToolkit and issue instructions to employee as required
- Assisting HR manager with replying to _ad-hoc_ queries from staff
- Assisting HR manager by taking minutes in disciplinary/grievance meetings
**RECRUITMENT (company wide)**
- Placing job adverts once finalised by HR Manager on the appropriate recruitment sites
- Update jobs spreadsheet weekly
- Assisting in the organisation and booking of interviews
- Issuing interview invitations
