**Salary range**:Up to £63,500

**The role**

You will provide reward consultancy, support and advise on the development and execution of reward strategy and activities that support the delivery of the business objectives for Functional teams, including Technology, Customer & Transformation, People, Finance, Legal and Risk for business units across BGUK.

The role will be fast paced but exciting and you will play a key part in modelling our total reward strategies and supporting transformation including organisation design. You will be alongside colleagues from the People team and those from other functional areas as well as collaborating with the broader business. This is to ensure our offering meets our business needs, is well understand and communicated.

**You’ll help us make health happen by**
- Working with the Head of Reward - Insurance & Functions together with the Insurance People Director and wider Reward team to provide specialist input, advice, design and delivery of reward activities to the Functional teams.
- Contributing to the development and implementation of reward initiatives to support the achievement of business strategies and objectives, including pay, non-financial reward, incentives and benefits.
- Working as part of the broader Insurance & Functions Reward team in the delivery of pan-BU reward projects, tailoring to Functions where appropriate.
- Influencing the strategic development of the reward approach in the functional areas.
- Delivering initiatives that underpin the reward of employees in Functions, covering topics such as job evaluation, bonuses/incentives, annual merit award, benefits and salary benchmarking.
- Ensuring that operational pay practices within Functions reflect Bupa best practices, external developments and are of the highest quality.
- Providing expert advice on reward and compensation issues, including providing detailed reward analysis, to People team and managers.
- Effectively consulting, supporting and influencing the relevant People team, managers and senior leaders in reward activity.
- Designing, implementing and reviewing the correct materials ensuring the most appropriate training and support is given to managers when changes to policy or process are made.
- Working closely with Reward Delivery team and other key contacts (e.g. People Operations), together with external partners and suppliers.
- Working with key stakeholders in the business to design and deliver the best reward programmes, in a strong and capable consultative style.

**Key Skills / Qualifications needed for this role**
- Broad technical reward experience and understanding, covering all key pillars (pay, bonuses, benefits).
- Extremely strong numerical and analytical skills and working in an environment that requires strong attention to detail.
- Experience of job evaluation (WTW or Hay/Korn Ferry) methodologies.
- Experience of working with and influencing business stakeholders and holding roles which demand good problem-solving ability and the need to make decisions that positively impact the business.
- Strong communication, influencing, judgement, persuasiveness and negotiating skills.
- Experience of working with people at different levels of seniority within the organisation.
- Experience of working with complex and large business groups.
