Cardiology Receptionist

Based within our very busy Cardiology Department, you will be responsible for providing front line reception and clerical support. Your principle duties will be to receive referrals into the department and ensure that they are added correctly to the ICE and PAS system. To greet patients as they arrive into the department, record their attendance on PAS and to ensure that all referrals into Cardiology are dealt with efficiently.

**Post**: You are required to have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, precise with detail and data collection and have the relevant keyboard skills, you must be able to understand, absorb and comply with procedures and make use of your own judgement in cases of importance. The ability to work on your own initiative and work without close supervision is essential.

Cardiology within ELHT is offering an exciting opportunity to join our rapidly growing service offering a wide range of investigations and clinics.

It is essential that you currently have a consistent and reliable attendance record, the ability to move and handle and be professional in appearance. You will need to have good IT skills with a proven ability on basic systems.

We provide a service 5 days a week during 0800-1700hrs each day. Some weekends and bank holidays working is required.

Making, rearranging and appointing patients for investigations

Must be organised and demonstrate the ability to prioritise

Cardiology outpatients is a growing service and has increased its substantive staffing over the last few years. We are a proactive team and always looking at ways to improve our service.

The team currently consists of 33 substantive staff, including; Admin staff, Assistant Technical Officers, Cardiac Physiologists, Cardiac Sonographers. Running clinics from our busy department are; Consultant Cardiologists, Senior Staff Grade Doctors, Registrars, Pharmacists, Nurses.
