Head of Supply Chain, Packaging
Reporting to the Supply Chain Director of Packaging, as Head of Supply Chain you will be an integral part of the Packaging Division Supply Chain team who are collectively responsible for collaboratively working with the Regional, Cluster & Group Cross Functional stakeholders to develop the Group & Packaging Division Supply Chain strategy, develop the transformation roadmap and identify, execute, support and deliver the programmes and projects/initiatives that support the transformation at a local level, including executing the divisional supply chain routines (e.g. IBP) that supports the evolution of the operating model.
Your key responsibilities- Provide functional and business thought leadership to develop the Packaging Division Supply Chain strategy, including bringing supply chain and commercial business thinking together to find pragmatic solutions to the most critical opportunities.- Develop and implement, alongside regional and subregional Supply Chain colleagues, a credible transformation roadmap to deliver this strategy with short-, medium
- and long-term projects/initiatives.- Lead the delivery of the Divisional level projects/initiatives that deliver the Divisional Supply Chain strategy. These projects could include transformational projects such as demand planning or order to deliver stability initiatives.- Support the delivery of Regional/Cluster projects/initiatives that develop Supply Chain capability and/or address performance hotspots.- Build relationships and influence with country, cluster, regional, divisional and group cross functional stakeholders across the E2E value chain. Key stakeholders are Sub Regional Supply Chain Managers, Regional Head of Supply Chain, Sub Regional Operations Directors. Ability to engage with a range of stakeholders from Site Supply Chain Manager to Regional Operations Directors is critical.- Represent the Packaging Division Supply Chain Function (both at group and local level) in cross functional Group and Divisional initiatives. This especially covers Group Supply Chain programmes and Sales Marketing Innovation (SMI) initiatives.
Office location: London
About you- Degree level or equivalent by experience.- Minimum 10 years experience in Supply Chain management in both a transformation and operational capacity, including working in a business with mature E2E Supply Chain capability.- Experience in implementing and managing diverse supply chain projects / initiatives in a transformational environment.- Analytical and conceptual skills in Supply Chain management.- Leadership skills with a proven track record to build strong trusting relationships and convince others through written and spoken communications. Able to deal with resistance.- Works collaboratively with others. Inspires to a common purpose.- Fluency in English. Fluency in another European language in Europe where DS Smith has a presence would be an advantage.
