Trainee Draughtsperson

ACE Winches are currently looking for a permanent full time Trainee Draughtsperson to learn and understand the requirements of the drawing office with regards to the output of high-quality 3D models and technical drawings and how they are required to support the business. Then in time assisting with the timely production of high-quality 3D CAD models and technical drawings.

JOB ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Successfully achieve pre-determined learning objectives.
Gain an understanding of the drawing office structure and how it operates.
Familiarisation with internal drawing office and industry standards.
Production of 3D models which accurately reflect product properties and capture functional requirements.
Generation of high-quality technical drawings to support all aspects of the business.
Delivery of models and drawings in-line with agreed timescales/schedules.
Learn how to conduct site/equipment surveys and transfer information to models/drawings.
Aid various departments in supporting business needs.

QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS REQUIRED

Essential

Appropriate qualifications to enroll in HNC course in Mechanical Engineering.
Thoroughness in all tasks undertaken with good attention to detail.
Willingness to learn and participate in departmental rotations.
Excellent communication and organising skills

Desirable

Prior knowledge and experience in using 2D or 3D CAD systems.
Hands-on workshop experience to facilitate conducting equipment surveys.
