Kitchen Assistant/cook

With Christmas just around the corner Safari require a part-time experienced cook / assistant to assist our chef's throughout the busy Christmas period.

Experience in the catering industry **Essential** and a formal catering or hygiene qualification **is** required.

Working in a very fast paced environment, we require applicants to have **a minimum of 3 years experience in a busy kitchen.**

We require someone who has the ability to work on their own initiative and correctly plate up and serve multiple customer orders simultaneously in conjunction with the other production areas.

Our ideal applicants must be able to confidently prep sandwiches, panini's and wraps, prepare curry's, baked potatoes, desserts, etc. and be able to work under pressure as we do get extremely busy at times.

We need someone who is able to check stock levels for their area and report back to the kitchen manager regarding ordering, someone who can see and sort out problems before they become an issue, we want someone with a "can do" attitude.

**MUST** hold level 2 basic hygiene certificate & Allergen Awareness certificate and have two checkable work references.

Wages will be discussed at interview and are based on experience.
