2 Week Rota - Week 1 -Monday/Tuesday/Saturday/Sunday, Week 2 - Wednesday/Thursday/Friday

10pm - 7.30am

Paid breaks.
- Assist residents who need help with dressing, undressing, bathing, personal appearance, toileting, including the removal and disposal of soiled clothing, and the management of incontinence aids or similar items.
- Help residents with mobility or other physical problems, and psychiatric problems or disabilities; always observing Manual Handling Policies and Procedure.
- Care for residents who are frail or in need of end-of-life care, or require an escort to obtain services outside the Home.
- Help to promote the mental and physical activity of individual residents by talking to them about their interests, memories and hopes, helping them with tasks, and offering them choices.
- Assist with the administration of medications / creams to residents, while under the supervision of the Senior Night Care Assistant.
- Answer call bells promptly and respond immediately to calls for help from residents via the call system.
- Support the Senior Night Care Assistant in dealing with any crises which may arise.
- Report, without delay, any concerns you may have that residents are not being treated with due respect and dignity to the Senior Night Care Assistant, following up with a report to senior management if appropriate.
- Read and record in the Home’s records and reports all relevant information relating to the physical and emotional health of resident and, at the end of your shift, make sure your written records accurately reflect the events of the night and are signed as an accurate record.
- Report and contribute to Managers / Shift Supervisors / Senior Night Care Assistants at handover.
- Care for and launder residents’ personal clothing including, washing, ironing, pressing and repairing.
- Make and change beds and empty and disinfect commodes.
- On request from a resident, prepare a drink or a snack, feed residents who require help; and, if required, set tables / trays in readiness for breakfast.
- Assist as required with completing regular checks of the building throughout the night, paying special attention to Fire Prevention.
- Answer door buzzer, telephones and meet and greet visitors to the Home.
- Participate in supervision / appraisal sessions and attend staff meetings.
- Accurately to complete all mandatory records.

**Job Type**: Part-time
Part-time hours: 33 per week

**Salary**: £11.67 per hour
