Bench Joiner/cabinet Maker

This will be full-time, equivalent to 40 hours in a standard working week, based primarily at our MHF workshops. The successful applicant can anticipate excellent opportunities to use their practical skill sets, communication strengths and team participation, making a significant contribution to this growing business.

**Qualities required will include**:
A minimum of 3 years furniture-making, workshop experience.

An ability to read worksheets and translate drawings, discuss processes and methods of manufacture - attention to detail and quality control.

Responsible and willing to take on a breadth of new tasks, displaying enthusiasm & versatility.To be organised and driven while retaining quality and continuity.

Systematic in working methods with a view to maximising efficiency.

Cost conscious - mindful of the company’s resources and accountable for their use.

This position will require **relevant furniture-making skill sets** and **work experience** that will directly benefit the company with a ‘hands on’ practical approach to problem solving.

**Key skills include**:
a) At least **3 yrs experience** with fixed and hand-held woodworking machinery and equipment

b) A good listener, communicator and quick to take on new challenges

c) Assembly - a wide range of furniture assembly experience

d) General workshop housekeeping

e) Driving - own transport essential (to and from work)

**Salary**: £13.50-£15.50 per hour
