Cambridge, United Kingdom University of Cambridge Full time

An exciting opportunity has arisen to appoint a new Young People's Programme Coordinator who will be part of our innovative and friendly Community & Learning team at Kettle's Yard.

Collaboration and creativity are two of Kettle's Yard's organisational values and are integral to this role. The postholder will ensure these are central in the delivery of a new three-year project for 14
- 19 year olds, entitled Bridges and supported by The Mildred Fund, which will enable young people to discover how engaging with art, through the unique lens of Kettle's Yard, can go on to support them throughout their lives. The Young People's Programme Coordinator will provide administrative, financial, logístical and evaluative assistance to ensure the successful delivery of the programme.

If you have a passion for engaging young people with the visual arts and experience of developing and maintaining creative partnerships then we would love to hear from you.

The Young People's Programme Coordinator will be based at Kettle's Yard with some delivery of sessions at our partner organisations and other community and cultural venues in the city. The post is part-time, 2 days a week, working days to be agreed. Due to the direct engagement and delivery with young people, some flexibility on working hours/days will be required to meet the needs of the groups being supported.

**About Kettle's Yard**: Kettle's Yard is the University of Cambridge's modern and contemporary art gallery. It was founded in 1957 by Jim and Helen Ede. It consists of a beautiful house with a remarkable collection of modern art and a gallery that presents a diverse programme of modern and contemporary art exhibitions. It has an international reputation for its programmes which includes concerts of new and classical music and an extensive and diverse programme of learning and community activities.

Kettle's Yard's mission is:
To contribute to society by inspiring and engaging audiences through art, learning and research of the highest quality.

We believe that great art should not be the privilege of the few, but for everyone. Our values reflect Kettle's Yard's creators' Jim and Helen Ede's support for artists and belief in art's power to make us look again and change how we act in the world.

**Interviews expected to be held on Monday 26th February 2024.**

Fixed-term: The funds for this post are available for 3 years in the first instance.

The University has a responsibility to ensure that all employees are eligible to live and work in the UK.
