Scrum of Scrums Master

The Scrum of Scrum Master plays a crucial role in ensuring effective coordination and communication among multiple Scrum teams within our organization. As the facilitator and coach for the Scrum of Scrums, you will drive alignment, remove impediments, and promote the overall success of our Agile development process. You will collaborate closely with Product Owners, Scrum Masters, and other stakeholders to promote cross-team collaboration and achieve our organizational goals.
**Responsibilities**:
- Facilitate the Scrum of Scrums: Organize and lead regular Scrum of Scrums meetings involving representatives from multiple Scrum teams to ensure effective coordination and collaboration.
- Coordinate Dependencies: Identify inter-team dependencies and work closely with Scrum Masters and Product Owners to address and resolve any conflicts or issues that may arise.
- Promote Communication and Collaboration: Foster open and transparent communication channels between teams, ensuring that information flows smoothly and that dependencies and risks are effectively communicated.
- Remove Impediments: Identify and address any obstacles or impediments that hinder the progress of the Scrum teams, facilitating their resolution to maintain a smooth and efficient development process.
- Coach and Mentor: Provide guidance, coaching, and mentoring to Scrum Masters and team members, promoting best practices, Agile principles, and continuous improvement across all teams.
- Metrics and Reporting: Define and track key metrics related to the performance and progress of the Scrum of Scrums, providing regular reports and updates to stakeholders and management.
- Agile Process Improvement: Continuously assess and improve the effectiveness of the Agile development process within the Scrum of Scrums, identifying opportunities for optimization and implementing relevant changes.
What you’ll need:
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent practical experience.
- Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or similar Agile certifications.
- Proven experience working as a Scrum Master or Agile Coach in a large-scale Agile environment, preferably in a Scrum of Scrums context.
- Strong knowledge of Agile methodologies, frameworks, and principles, including Scrum, Kanban, and Lean.
- Excellent facilitation, communication, and conflict resolution skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams and stakeholders.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities, with a proactive and results-oriented approach.
- Familiarity with Agile development tools and software, such as Azure DevOps, Confluence, or similar tools.
- A passion for continuous improvement and a drive to foster a culture of innovation and collaboration.
