**Database Administrator at MRM Global**:
MRM Global is seeking a skilled Database Administrator to join our Engineering department. As a Database Administrator, you will be responsible for maintaining and optimizing our company's databases to ensure their reliability and performance.
- Design, implement, and maintain databases
- Monitor database performance and optimize for maximum efficiency
- Ensure data security and integrity
- Develop and implement backup and recovery procedures
- Collaborate with other teams to integrate data from various sources

As Database Administrator at MRM Global you will be responsible for
- Installing, configuring, maintaining both MSSQL and Postgres databases.
- Manage the backup, testing and recovery of the database periodically
- Liase with the architecture group to define and implement a database scaling strategy
- Liase with the architecture group to define and implement a wider storage strategy encompassing, file, NOSQL and SQL storage
- Ensure maximium uptime of databases both SQL and NoSQL
- Maintain security and patches across both SQL, NoSQL and File Storage
- Work with the development teams to optimize the data storage layer
- Mentor and advise developers on tuning and performance improvements
- Work with architecture group and existing partners to create and implement a data strategy

Reporting to the Engineering Manager, you will have the opportunity to collaborate with our team of knowledgeable Software Engineers, Testers, and Product Team in creating innovative software solutions. A project that you can expect to work on is the consolidation of multiple cloud services into one provider.

**What **you will bring;
- 4+ years' experience of database administration in a web-based environment
- Experience in the Microsoft tech stack
- Knowledge querying, optimizing SQL Server and Postgres
- Knowledge of latest database techniques such as versioning, deploying, on demand etc in cloud environments
- Knowledge of Entity Framework
- Ability to communicate effectively with engineers, testers, architects and the Product Team
- Excellent attention to detail and strong problem-solving abilities
- Desire to continue to grow professional capabilities with ongoing training and educational opportunities
